Homemade shower gift

Two of the lovely ladies at work are expecting girls early in the new year.  We had a lunchtime shower at work last week in celebration of both of their first babies!

So, I asked someone that would KNOW what mommas need and use for gift suggestions.  That's right, I went straight to momma-of-four; the Hairdresser.  She said that she received embellished cloth diapers for each baby, and that was hands-down the most used item in the house.

So, that's what I did.

These are simple prefold cloth diapers that I "sewed" ribbon onto.  I used the no sew seam tape to do the binding, so this was time-consuming but extremely simple.  If you own an iron, you can do this.

Best of all, the momma's loved them!  I used colors from their baby bedding in hopes that they'd match a little better.  I guess that was a good call because they seemed to find them fashionable!  I call that a win!
