We camped

Sorry I made you wait an extra day.  I was just too tired yesterday to sort through photos.

We headed north to Davis, OK for a night.  Aside from camping to go to a Renaissance festival, since 1999.  Now, I've camped in at TRF and the Colorado Renaissance Festival since then, but those had the ultimate goal of going to a festival.  I wasn't completely sure I would enjoy it outside of the excitement of doing one of my favorite activities.  My husband hadn't camped in any form since high school.  So, neither of us were very sure we'd like it.  We went anyway.  Hey, there's only one way to find out, right?!  Turner Falls was one of my favorite campsites when I was young, so it seemed a good place to start.

We camped.

I'll show you some of the fun scenery and, of course, the puppy soon!

  1. I love Turner Falls, but never been there this late in the year. How was it?

  2. It was still as lovely as I remember. The water was a bit low in places, but still flowing enough to create the falls.

We should have been a little more selective in our camping spot though...apparently, we chose party central! Sleep did not happen.

  3. Lisa and I were there a bit ago...good times! Good memories! It was the first time I had been back since we used to go with your mom. I love the howling of animals late at night. :)
